Based on UN-ESCAP recent reports on total plastic waste, only 9% of plastic are found to be recycled while 12% have been incinerated. The remaining 79% was either disposed of in a landfill or was blindly released into the environment. Due to this, there are approximately 8.3 million tons of plastic entering the ocean every year. This must come to an end!

We can do more individually to minimise our impact on the environment. If we each adopt the habit of using reusable produce bags or reusable carrier bags, we will be contributing to a cleaner environment.
