3 Ways to Add a Twist to Your Favourite Malaysian Snacks & Drinks

Malaysians live to eat, and most of us probably have something perfect to eat for every hour. As lovely as it is to have our favourite snacks or comfort food, it’s also fun to explore fresh ways to eat them every now and then.

In conjunction with our Local Merdeka Fair, we’re mixing up the way some of your favourite Malaysian food and drinks are served.

Hup Seng’s crackers with hummus
Exchange the Milo and condensed milk combination you’d regularly have with your crackers, and opt for a generous serving of hummus instead. The popular Middle Eastern spread has plenty of benefits such as being high in iron, phosphorus, and vitamin C. It makes for the perfect tea time snack.

Drinking Dutch Lady’s milk with love letters
The best time to have a glass of warm milk is right before bed. This isn’t a theory made popular through pop culture, but milk is a great source for calcium and contains amino acid tryptophan which helps increase melatonin (aka sleep hormones). So, before your next nightcap, add a little sweet biscuity treat from Julie’s in the form of a straw for a good night’s sleep.
