We’re firm believers that food should be healthy, but there’s no reason not to make it delicious too! Check out this miso glazed sea bass that is so simple that you just need to mix the ingredients, spread it on the fish, bake and serve so let’s get to it right away!
2 tablespoons white miso paste
1 tablespoon organic sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 clove garlic minced
1 thin slice ginger minced
2 fillets of sea bass
1/4 cup mirin
*You can substitute mirin with rice vinegar, though you’ll need to counteract the acidity with about a 1/2 teaspoon of sugar for every tablespoon you use.
In a small bowl, mix together miso, mirin, sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic and ginger.
Spread miso mixture all over fish and place in covered container. Refrigerate overnight.
When ready to cook, set oven to 450 degrees. Bake until tender, about 15 minutes, depending on thickness of fish.
Your fish should have a slight char to it as it bakes too.
The fish goes well with a steaming bowl of rice and you can add a dash of sesame seeds onto your sea bass for the extra texture too. Enjoy!
